2016 GET MONEY ANTHEM BELOW....
THE BIO OF 380!!!
Born to the streets of Midway, Ga., James D. Barrett was nearly killed or dead on a count of 3 occasions. The fact that he remained among the living; he felt that there was a calling on his life which he had not answered. On a mission to accomplish God’s task set forth for him, he decided in the year of 2000 that he would trade in the “street life” to pursue a career in music. Setting aside the episodes of his past he became known to the world as “380”. After gaining the confidence and intelligence required to stay afloat in the music industry he jumped head first into keeping the buzz of his talent fresh by flooding the streets with promotional products. Utilizing advertisement resources such as flyers, posters, business cards, promotional vehicles, magnetic advertisement, albums, mix tapes and documentary DVD’s his name began to travel through the city like a wildfire. Additionally, 380 became more interested in performing for crowds. With his new found confidence he won the heart of the streets by composing music based on real life experiences which his fans could easily relate to. As the artist got more involved with his career decision, he began his own graphic designs business which eliminated the financial burden of paying others for promotional tools and provided a larger budget for independent career moves. Considering, the intensity in his approach he also became known in his community as a PROMOTIONAL BEAST and self-governing business man. However, 380 still had one problem; he only knew one way of delivering his words. Lack of versatility proved to be a serious issue for him, but by some strange stroke of fate he was befriended by George Cray, CEO of Lay It Down Records in Atlanta, Ga. Being affiliated with Mr. Cray 380 was eventually introduced to multi-platinum producer Gerald Hall. After which, Mr. Hall took 380 under his wing and coached him until he was able to put his voice on any track, anytime, anywhere. Once he adapted to being a well-rounded individual he gained notoriety as a rugged yet compassionate artist. In light of this evolvement, he has received many accolades such as being featured on the front cover of Seaport Magazine in 2007 which included a full page article followed by another appearance in the UP NEXT section of SEIGE Magazine in 2008. The community considers 380 more than an artist, but more of a humanitarian. The artist has hosted numerous community affairs, donated to charities, made contributions to families in times of need, and sponsored children for special occasions. Here we are in 2016 and 380 has evolved from an aspiring artist to being the CEO of his own company. In early 2011 he gave life to Street Certified Entertainment, which is a company dedicated to its community. With 13 years of experience under his belt, the undying support of his city (Midway, Ga.), his family, friends and fans behind him; he continues his journey. Having the support of the community, 380 has two personal Facebook pages; the first has reached maximum friends of 5000, as well as a company page and street team promotion page. To date, his greatest accomplishment is the recording of his official album “Major League” that can be found on iTunes, and the filming of countless music videos. The hard work and dedication of 380 has pulled in an award at the 2012 Hustla Entertainment Awards for Best Album “Major League”.
